The move

Tomorrow is the big day. It's really hard to believe that we're actually moving! We have lived here for our entire marriage - almost 7 years. It's by far the longest I've lived somewhere since I graduated from high school 15 years ago! We are more than ready for the change. Boxes are packed. The truck is rented. A number of friends will be descending on our house at 12:30 to load up. The new home will be a much better situation for all of us. We do wish things were going better on the townhome front...

Per my blog entry a couple of weeks ago, we thought we had it rented. We hadn't had a really great feeling about the couple who wanted it. We tried moving forward, and set a date for them to bring us a security deposit. But, that day came and went and they disappeared with no more communication. We felt that ultimately it was an answer to our prayers about whether they were right. However, we currently have no one renting it. We've had lookers, and have a rather promising couple coming next week, so our fingers are crossed and prayers are being said that something will firm up soon. I've moved on from being completely stressed. We feel that it's time to make the move and take a leap of faith, and whatever happens, we'll be OK.

It seems to be a challenging time for so many people, and the housing thing has proven to be a big challenge for us. Perhaps someday it will be totally resolved!
