Soccer wrap up

Soccer has come to an end - we had our team party last week. Connor did pretty well overall. He definitely enjoyed practices more than the actual games, but that's OK. His coach (Coach Matt) was fantastic. He was great with the kids, Connor really liked him. He did lots of fun extras with the kids, like a team cheer and a team dance whenever we scored a goal (although they don't keep score at this age). The team was named the Red Lizards. I had looked forward to eight weeks of spending beautiful spring evenings relaxing and watching games, but it turned out to be a somewhat cold, snowy, rainy and windy spring. A lot of games had to be postponed. We ended up watching lots of games all bundled up.

Anyway, the wrap up party was fun. They celebrated with red cupcakes for the Red Lizards:

And little sister getting in on the cupcake action (she can smell sugar from a mile away, I kid you not):
I think his favorite part of soccer was the "Go Red Lizards" cheer:

All in all, a fun experience!
