A boy party

Yesterday we had a birthday party for Connor (who turned 5 on May 27) and Lucas (who turns 1 on Tuesday). Connor insisted on waiting to have a party in the new house, so we did a joint party. I must say, I enjoy entertaining, and it was fabulous to finally have more space to do so! We had a bunch of friends/family over for the party.

Connor has been a fan of the movie Cars for quite some time, and wanted a race track cake with Lightning McQueen, the King and Chick racing, so I made this cake for him. I realized after the party I forgot to put Happy Birthday Connor and Lucas in the infield. oh well!

Lucas was crazy for that cake. Here he is after dinner, with no idea of the sweet treat about to arrive:
First tastes of birthday cake:
Pretty good stuff!
More, please! (he did actually eat an entire second piece)
"Maybe I'll just eat the plate too!"
Other pics of the kids eating and doing water balloons:

The boys got lots of fun gifts. It was crazy gift-opening action, so I didn't snap many good pics. But I did catch Lucas on his new riding fire truck:

It was a crazy fun party! Happy Birthday again to my darling boys!

What a nice day for a party! Once again, water balloons - a huge hit. I can tell Lucas really liked the cake.

Looks like a great party! About the contacts...I have tried the ones you mentioned, Acuvue Oasis, they were ok for a couple days and now I can't wear them. But it's not a dry eye issue (so they might work great for you) Every time I put them in it feels like I have something in my eye. (something more than a contact:-) I am going to try the daily disposables, so we will see. The doctor said I might be allergic to the solution or I might not be getting all the protien off. We will see....
