Dance recital

Isabel had her annual dance recital at the end of April. Did you know she loves to perform? She loves to perform.

While the dancers learn tap and ballet, they only perform one routine in the recital; last year was a ballet routine, this year she moved up a level and performed a tap number. Each class does their routine twice, but because tickets sold out they add to add a second show, and therefore, each class ended up performing four times. Isabel said four was good, but 20 times would have been better.

And because this is about how things have been going around here, Isabel came down with pink eye the day of the recital; you'll notice her red eyes in some pics. And she also was coming down with a cough and a double ear infection, and wasn't performing at 100%. But she still rocked it. She is really serious about her performances, and strives for perfection. Another way we're the same.

My brother and SIL Nate and Alli came to the recital-

At her last dance class of the year; they got to wear anything they wanted, so Isabel chose her costume. Her fabulous, fun, creative teacher Mrs. Wittler, who has taught Isabel for the past 2 years, is moving this summer. We are really going to miss her!

And the video! She's the tiny, sassy, elastic one-

That video was so cute! Looks like she definitely steals the show! I loved how animated she was and the other kids were just kind of walking around. Good performance Isabel!
