LA Trip Day 2

We packed in a lot on day 2! Our first stop was the Getty Center, which had stunning gardens/grounds and wonderful art in a really amazing building. The whole thing was so impressive and we loved being there! Pretty cool views of downtown LA too. This place came highly recommended and it did not disappoint! You take a fun tram ride up there from the parking lot. So much fun and so gorgeous in many ways.

Then we headed to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, via the Santa Monica Boulevard. We walked around, had lunch at Sharky's (that shrimp burrito I had was AMAZING). Such luxury all around! Fascinating.

From there, we drove up into Hollywood Hills, saw the Hollywood Sign, and Griffith Observatory.

We drove back down the Santa Monica to get to UCLA, where that night's game was. We were thrilled to discover it went right past the LA temple!

Brian had gotten me a press pass, so I was able to sit with him while he covered the CU/UCLA basketball game. When he was writing after the game, it was me and Harry again.

After the game we went back to the temple (it's pretty close to UCLA) and walked around the stunning grounds at dark. We loved this, and the temple has wonderful grounds and details. Really wonderful to see it all.

We packed in a lot that day! It was perfect from start to finish, and so freeing to not have to rush home to a sitter and kids.
