Rave Run

My lovely, fun and dear friend Erica decided it would be fun to make matching tutus and do the Rave Run 5K with a bunch of friends. So we made tutus, had dinner at Pasquini's a fun Denver Italian restaurant, and headed to City Park for the evening race.

I had to laugh when Isabel saw me in my colorful tutu and pigtails and said "I'm actually feeling a little jealous, mom. You look like a princess!" She returned a few minutes later in a pink feather boa, a crown and some makeup. I told her girls just wanna have fun, even when they are moms. :)

Here we are at dinner - yum! Those breadsticks along are drool-worthy-

Erica put a vinyl word on a t-shirt for each girl; the word was something she loves or admires about each girl; mine was vivacious. It was so touching as she handed out each word and explained why she chose each word. An awesome memory. After dinner we found an awesome purple wall across the street, which made for an awesome backdrop for some photos; we snared some local passers-by to take them.

The race was held at 8:30 in the evening. It was actually a rather disorganized, chaotic event, but despite this, we had a blast. I ran most of the race, just a couple of short walking breaks. After the (frustrating) bottle neck at the finish line, we crossed and celebrated our victory. There was some dancing as well.

All in all an extremely fun and memorable night. So grateful to know so many talented, amazing and incredibly fun girls! Thanks for the idea and memory, Erica!
