Isabel had her 4-year checkup yesterday. I really want to remember no part of the appointment, as she has some unbelievable phobia of doctors/dentists, and basically turns into a possessed demon child the minute we enter the office. It doesn't matter what she's in for, whether or not it involves shots, it is just always ugly with her. Because she is so tiny and they have always tracked her growth so carefully, we really needed accurate measurements. It took FOUR ADULTS to hold her down to simply measure her height, and she still put up a valiant struggle. The doctor commented that she is unbelievable strong for being so tiny.
Her numbers:
Weight: 27 pounds (0 to 3rd percent for her age)
Height: 37 1/3 inches (5th to 10th percent for her age)
She actually grew 3 inches and gained 3 pounds in the past year, and the most important thing is that she maintained her own growth curve. She is a small child, but she makes up for it in every other way: strength, personality, spunk, voice, vocabulary. She's a study in opposites.
And a picture of bringing birthday cupcakes to preschool. With a weekend birthday, the celebration has really been spread out! But it's all over now. Whew.

She is a darling, tiny pixie girl! Addie only weighs a few pounds less than her and she is tiny too!
Glad she is growing on her own curve. Quite the determined girl, huh? We love the little Isabel.
