Frederick in Flight

We attended our local hot air balloon festival again this year - Frederick in Flight. There is a hot air balloon launch at 6 a.m. with 20-some hot air balloons. This year Chick Fil A sponsored one of the balloons, and the cow threw 50 stuffed cows from parachutes from the balloons. Connor and Isabel caught one, Lucas did not (Mason was sick and stayed home with Brian). When I told them they'd all be sharing the tears dissipated.
 
It was a hot, clear, beautiful morning and we loved walking around as the different balloons were prepared for and then took flight. It is truly a beautiful and breathtaking sight!

That evening was the balloon glow, and my friend Erica and I went together and took our kids. There was wood carving, free hot dogs and cookies, food trucks, bubble tower, kids could decorate their own paper lantern, photo ops and the like. It was a fun evening, but a major disappointment that it was deemed too windy for the balloons to inflate, so they just lit the burners. But overall a really fun evening-
